SOUTHERN TIER GYMNASTICS ACADEMY was founded in 1979.
Our philosophy is simple: help young athletes in the wonderful
sport of gymnastics. The help we speak of, runs from the
very young athletes in our program to the most gifted.
Regardless of ability, age, or gender, we will be there
to help your athlete in the sport of gymnastics.
For over twenty years we have been working within our
community to spread, nurture, and develop the sport of
gymnastics. We love the sport of Gymnastics because we believe
in the virtues of gymnastics. The sport in and by itself
develops strong physical abilities, mental
toughness and self esteem. We also believe in our
great community.
Our gifted athletes have shown off their talents at number
of Division I, Division ll and Division lll colleges and
universities across the United States. For
example: Cornell, Ithaca college, Cortland, George Washington,
West Virginia, Slippery Rock, Penn State, Iowa State, Kent
State, LSU, Northeastern, William and Mary, and more.
STGA has a great heritage and we plan on continuing this
heritage into the next decade.
